The newly founded International Society of Odontoscopy (ISO) aims to promote research and applications of odontoscopy, i.e., endoscopy treatment in dentistry. Furthermore, the postgraduate certified training of dentists is offered and the method of odontoscopy is presented to the public. As well-known in other fields of medicine, the professional use of endoscopic equipment can only be successful, if the dentist has a sufficient background in the use of the equipment and the clinical application of the technical systems. Therefore, an intensive training in the use of the odontoscopic technique is required before using it in daily practice. Therefore, the international society ISO will support a continuous education in the practical application of the ondotoscopy, based on a close international corperation between university facilities and the practitioners.
